The Crab Raccoon is an album ive been working on for quite sometime, eversince i got my Bass VI as i fell in love with its unique tone, especially when run through a digitech whammy. With my band A Perennial Daydream we were jamming once with m friend Adrianna. We wanted to do something strange sounding like King Gizz's Microtonal Banana, and "The Crab Raccoon" opening riff emerged from that jam after Adrianna played that descending accordian scale.

When i share memo recordings with people, i usually slap on some unrelated image and title to give it a sense of identity, and i went with this "Crab Raccoon" meme i found in my pictures folder because i thought it was hilarious. The image was created by u/Spinnerhead on the r/hybridanimals subreddit.

After sending off the demo, i started concieving this entire concept album and took over the project.

The story is as follows. In the near future, the Canada faces the threat of a mysterious beast called The Crab Raccoon that lives above the green belt in Ontario. To intice its defeat, the government issues a bounty for its defeat promising a starter home as its reward. The album follows this one's groups journey to go defeat. But along the way it is not what it seems. The Crab Raccoon is an off grid hippy commune that escaped the latch of consumerism lifestyle and lives self sustained in earthships. They are seen as monsters through the eyes of commoners because Tim Hortons coffee has been laced to alter how we see these people. This crew comes to the realization, that former fallen bounty hunters have willingly converted and join the Crab Raccoon and team up together to do something.

This is fiction okay. I don't believe this, i just started coming up with bizarre ideas and connected them and thought it was interesting concept to explore.

I'll eventually finish it, but until then enjoy this as is.
