An international mathrock collaboration with the king of classical math, Luca Vincent. @lucavincentmusic

Mathrock has been very influential in my musical tastes and guitar playing. A few years ago I did a demo of a mathrock tune called "Reading Backwards" and shelfed it, but now.... it's back!

I reached out to my musical-mathematic penpal Luca about doing vocals and he agreed and delivered beyond my expectations.

Lyric Story Time:

As per most of my tunes, lyrics are sort of secondary and and after thought. At the time of writing this song I was working as a soccer camp counselor somehow and sort of wrote each stanza inspired by various strange events kids. Stanza 1 being about the Canadian and Japanese kid arguing about which way to read; both are right/wrong depending on the perspective so i sort of played with that idea. Chorus was inspired by our organization system at the camp where we basically tossed all the kid's bags under one big tree and it was a big mess but technically organized. Stanza 2 was about one kid who was being a rumpus (aka shit disturber) and decided that by putting his backpack over his head he was invisible and could not be in trouble. When I said he was being a baby, he said he agrees so hence the embrace line. Chorus again. And then the last part is sort channeling back to the beginning stanza and also inspired by the uselessness of most arguments.
